Safeguarding Asian American Legacies

Our efforts are dedicated towards preserving the stories and legacies from our Asian American communities through storytelling and community development projects. Learn more about our current projects:

  • Abacus for Children

    Soroban for Underserved Communities

A “soroban” is a Japanese abacus of Chinese derivation. Our program brings the soroban to children from underserved communities. The program teaches the usage of the soroban to foster the math skills preparing children for the future.

  • Stop AAPI Hate

    Stop AAPI Hate

We look to do our part in stopping AAPI hate through humor. By telling the world of interesting stories from members in our AAPI communities, we hope to stop the hate and discrimination towards AAPI groups. Learn more about our storytelling initiatives.

  • Japanese American History

    Japanese American History

In memory of those who stood up and lost their lives, we actively seek, restore, and present events and artifacts that shaped the Japanese American community in the 20th century. Learn more about our historical preservation efforts in our current projects page.
